Competition assignment
The InfraVision ThinkTank 2026 Student Competition invites creative and multidisciplinary student teams to rethink infrastructure in a world in constant transition. The theme is ‘Infrastructure as a System: Rethink the Future.’ Participants are challenged to conceive an infrastructure project that is not just efficient today, but resilient, adaptive and sustainable across uncertain futures, in a world shaped by climate pressure, technological disruption, regulatory change and shifting demand.

By engaging with design, planning, stakeholder collaboration, technology, and decarbonization, entrants will propose concrete, forward-thinking solutions that highlight resilience, adaptability, and are capable of delivering value consistently. Beyond imaginative proposals, this competition offers students the opportunity to confront real-world complexities, apply cross-disciplinary skills, and receive expert feedback from a jury of experts. Through their participation, teams will contribute to imagining and shaping the future of infrastructure systems.

Eligibility
Open to any individual or team of students enrolled at the time of submission, including PhD candidates. Students recently graduated (in 2025) are also eligible.
